Fun and caring teaching
Would you and your child like a personalised, inexpensive online classroom? Every day Mon-Thurs they receive a personal message and I assign suggested activities, short recorded lessons and work that they could choose to do?
From Primary to GCSE level.
A whole range of exciting lessons and mostly bespoke individualised worksheets and activity suggestions, across a range of child-led topic and curriculum areas. All this in one place ready for you to access daily, or whenever you want to access them. Video lessons, work to print or do online, and choices of activities. Plus, online support with me available each day with immediate messaging or Google Meet (like Zoom). I also mark their work promptly in an encouraging way.
Additionally, we have two Together Days each week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) when we all meet for learning activities, creativity, fun games and socialising. So if your child wants to they can meet others in the same group in a non-stressful way and feel part of a group.
The support and level of things offered is completely bespoke way dependent on your child’s needs. I believe strongly in a no-pressure approach so children can develop their confidence and feel joy in learning.
Help your child feel connected to learning and others.
Home-ed planning
If your child is not attending school and you need support in home education, I can help.
By creating a bespoke plan, even if I don’t deliver the work via our online class, I can help you navigate all the resources out there and give regular direction to help you.
Home education doesn’t have to replicate school, obviously. Learning can take many forms and can be very creative and interest focused.
But choosing the right resources and activity ideas can be a full-time task in itself! There are so many to choose from and it can be expensive. Also, what works at primary level then changes as they grow older! Why not utilise my extensive knowledge of all the resources out there, instead?
I can oversee learning and give you links to free resource platforms, offer progress assessments at set intervals if you’d like more formal markers, or mark work and give encouraging feedback with pointers for next steps.
If you need to write home education reports for the Local Authority I can help with this, ensuring you are confident you are legally providing a suitable education.
I am also happy to help you to source the right activities for your child to help expand their world if it has shrunk inwards.
Support for parents
Parents are most often the real experts in the needs of their own children. Sometimes it can feel lonely and sometimes you don’t feel listened to. I am here to help you get the right support.
I can offer advice on particular challenges or issues your child may be facing. It’s not always advice I can give personally, as I certainly do not claim to be an expert on everything, but it’s pointing you to the right books, to the most highly regarded experts, websites, organisations or groups where you can learn more. I have a wealth of knowledge about various ND issues and know who the leading experts are. I would be happy to help you to find the right support or strategies that may support you to support your child.
I am hear to listen. As parents, it’s really hard and exhausting managing our own worries about our children and their needs. It’s good to have someone to talk to who gets it; someone who can just be there when we need to express those feelings.
